Various B vitamins, including B6, B12 and folate (B9), have been proposed for treatment of memory loss and Alzheimer’s. A Taiwanese clinical trial did not show these vitamins to be an effective addition to prescription Alzheimer’s drugs. A recent U.S.-based clinical trial of these vitamins in over 400 people with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s also showed no effect on cognition.
